In windows 7 you can display two windows side by side each occupying 50% of the screen. You can also work on both windows simultaneously. This can be done using windows 7 Aero snap feature.
Here is how you can set two windows side by side using mouse:
- Drag a window to the far left of the screen un-till it expand to fill exactly half of the screen.
- Similarly do this for right side windows.
Here is how you can set two windows side by side using keyboard:
- Select a windows and press windows key + left arrow key on keyboard to set a windows in left side.
- Again select a windows and press windows key + right arrow key on keyboard to set a windows in right side.
