Sometimes you may find that your Windows OS has hanged and stopped responding. You may not have any clue, what is causing windows to hang or crash. This is very irritating if your windows crash / hang regularly, and in worst case you have to restart your computer.
But with a free and small tool WhatIsHang you can easily find out which program / file / software is causing windows to hang. This utility tries to detect the software that is currently hang, and displays some information that may allow you to understand what exactly cause the software to hang.
For now, WhatIsHang can only detect hang problems of 32-bit applications. In future versions, support for x64 applications will be added too. Be aware that if you have the 64-bit version of Windows, you can still use WhatIsHang, as long as the hanging application is running under 32-bit application.
This is completely free tool, and run on all versions of windows OS starting from Windows 2000
